Quality Manager 2008

In 2008 the competition the Quality Manager of the Year is in progress as well, which is announced by the Czech Society for Quality in connection with international competition European Quality Leader proclaimed by the European Organisation for Quality.

That manager is proclaimed as the Quality Manager of the Year, under whose management, and by changing the quality processes that he/she has introduced directly or through his/her team, the organisation has achieved results beneficial for different interested subject.

Mission and character of the competition:

The European Organisation for Quality has announced the competition for its member organisations – the European Quality Leader. The objective of the competition is to acknowledge the quality managers’ best results from individual EOQ “member” countries, publicly present them and provide in this way an example for their following.   The initiator of the competition in the Czech Republic is the Czech Society for Quality that is the EOQ member and representative of the Czech Republic in this organisation.

Announcement of results:

Results will be announced in November 2008 within the framework of the Quality Month and European Quality Week in the Czech Republic.

The Quality Manager of the Year shall acquire:

• Right to use the title the Quality Manager of the Year
• Presentation in economic press and other mass media
• Right to participate in the competition the European Quality Leader
• Free participation in the workshop “Summer Camp” of the EOQ organisation.

Winners of last years:

In the sixth year of competition in 2007, Ing.Vratislav Osička (Municipal District Office Prague 10) has won the title, the finalist was Ing.Alice Molnárová (PENAM, a.s.).

In the fifth year of competition in 2006, Ing.Miroslav Staněk (Barum Continental, spol. s r.o.) has won the title.

In the fourth year of competition in 2005, Ing.Roman Maroušek (TNT Express Česká republika) has won the title.

In the third year of competition in 2004, Ing.František Havel (T-Mobile Czech Republic) has won the title, in addition Ing.Milan Půček,MBA (Municipal Authority Vsetín) was the finalist.

In the second year of competition in 2003, Ing.Ladislav Drážný (Continental Teves Czech Republic, s.r.o.) has won the title, moreover RNDr.Roman Hrnčíř (Cooperative Severochema Liberec) was the finalist.

In the first year of competition in 2002, Ing.Bernard Kopec from the Company ŽDB Bohumín, a. s., has won the title the Quality Manager of the Year and furthermore the finalists of the competition were doc.Ing.Milan Hutyra (TESLA SEZAM, a.s.) and Ing.Roman Maroušek (TNT Express Česká republika).
